Residential: Treme
The Treme neighborhood, also known as Faubourg Treme, is one of the oldest black neighborhoods in the United States. This historic area is an important center location of the City of New Orleans’s African American and authentic Creole culture.
Walking distance from New Orleans’ Lafitte Greenway, Armstrong Park, Broad Street Theater, the Backstreet Cultural Museum and the Mahalia Jackson Theater, Treme is one of the most culturally influential neighborhoods in NOLA. Plus, don’t be surprised if you wake up to a second line parade on a Sunday afternoon or see a jazz funeral on a Saturday morning.
Due to it’s history and culture influence, SMS Development has begun to focus on developing homes in the Treme neighborhood. With over 20,000 sq ft of inter-field development, SMS Development is focusing on revitalizing and growing the neighborhood.
